Yes, the general login page. I was thinking it would simplify things in a single-user install scenario.
So that when you are the only one who are using the lab you could skip the whole user management part and just "get right into" doing whichever lab you wanted to do.
I realize it will probably not be very easy (if at all) to implement, since it will undoubtedly be hard to make sure that whatever mechanism you would have to come up with in order for this to work, would remain secure and not prone to being used as a way to bypass whatever user management/login mechanism you have designed already.
